First post of 2014! 😀
So today it’s been exactly a week since I arrived in Zürich, Switzerland…making this the fifth country i’ve travelled to since I arrived in Europe back in September! So far I have already gotten to meet quite a few new friends here, which I am really happy about. 🙂 It feels so cool getting to make contacts with people from all corners of the world. Every single day feels like a new adventure, and I feel so incredibly lucky for everything that I have had the opportunity to see and do over the past few months. This journey has enriched my life in so many ways, and I can not even begin to express how thankful I am for everything that I have gotten to experience and discover. When I think about it, it all really happened as a result of me taking a huge risk and leaving home all by myself to explore the unknown… and I feel really proud of myself for actually going through with it. Especially because I did have some doubts about whether or not I would be able to handle it all on my own. Through this, I have realized that I am actually a lot stronger than I originally gave myself credit for. I also feel like I have learned so much about myself; something that never could have happened had I not ventured far outside my comfort zone.
This whole experience has really opened my eyes, and I now see the world in an entirely different way than I did before. I now truly understand how travelling can really change a person’s life. This has been without a doubt the best decision I have ever made in my life, and I couldn’t be more excited to see what is still to come in the future!

Below is a quote I found to be quite inspiring in writing this post 🙂
“Adventure is a path. Real adventure – self-determined, self-motivated, often risky – forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it. Your body will collide with the earth and you will bear witness. In this way you will be compelled to grapple with the limitless kindness and bottomless cruelty of humankind – and perhaps realize that you yourself are capable of both. This will change you. Nothing will ever again be black-and-white.” – Mark Jenkins
Also, last week I filmed a Zürich apartment tour that I for some reason didn’t end up posting, so I’ll just post it below:
And HERE is a link for some photos I took today around Zürich 🙂
