Winning a Free Cruise and Spending Christmas in Sweden!

 Hey everyone. 🙂

So on Monday last week night me and my host family took an overnight cruise from Kiel, to Gothenburg Sweden for Christmas! It was pretty cool because my host family paid for me to have my own cabin on the ship all to myself 😀 There was also a really great pianist/singer who played really nice music in the lounge. A bit later on they announced to everyone that there would soon be a Piano Quiz where everyone could grab a contest form and write down their guess of the name of the song and also the name of the artist of 10 songs that were to be played, and whoever got the most answers correct would win a really amazing prize….And I sort of ended up winning 😀 (I feel i was at sort of an advantage because all of the songs were in english, and most people on the boat spoke either Swedish or German lol) The best part though is what the prize was….

A FREE ROUND TRIP CRUISE FOR TWO!!!

(So I can go to Sweden again hehe!)

…Aaaand so now I’m writing this on the cruise ride back to Germany from Sweden. This holiday was really amazing and I had an incredible time. 🙂 Some pretty cool things that I got to enjoy was having my own hotel room, watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” for the first time, going for an awesome nature walk (which totally reminded me of being in Canada haha), exploring the downtown city centre, and also going to this amusement park called “Liseberg” …. which was so magical. It was literally decorated just like a winter wonderland! Definitely the highlight of my trip for sure. 🙂

Anyways this post is getting pretty long, so I’m going to end it with saying that 2013 has been the best year of my life so far, and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what’s ahead for the New Year!
