Right now I am writing this from the house where me and my host family are staying at in Berlin! We were actually already here back in September, but during that trip all I really got to see was the zoo haha. But this time, it was so much better!!! I literally cannot even begin to describe how huge this city is, and how amazing it is here (especially now that the streets are festively decorated for the holidays). Yesterday I had the opportunity to see the city in the evening, and it was so awesome because I got to meet up with a cool guy named Cory- who showed me around so many parts of the city, and I learned quite a bit about the city’s history. 🙂 I also took a ton of photos… hahah. But yeah. Yesterday was so much fun, it still feels so unreal for me to be able to do things like this, and it’s so nice getting to meet so many awesome people from all corners of the world!
The only struggle I experienced was actually getting home from the city… Haha it took about 2 hours longer than expected! But it was definitely an adventure, and I was really lucky that I was able to meet people going towards the same direction as me, so we all kind of figured out our way back together! 🙂
Here are some photos from the following day, where I got to meet up with another local of Berlin, named Sophie. We met up in the morning and decided to go to the East Side Gallery to see the Berlin Wall! It was so incredible to see so many beautiful & colourful murals.
Where to next? On Thursday we’ll be heading out to Kiel, and then Hamburg!! 🙂 #sostoked
